Another trainee has successfully completed his 12 months placement at PCA in Kingaroy, graduating from the Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE.
Raymond Undery,
(pictured at right with Steven Hibbs, PCA IT manager John Miller and Michelle Waters from Wide Bay Group Training), went straight from Year 10 at the South Burnett Catholic College to his traineeship in IT.
The traineeship was organised and supervised by Wide Bay Group Training.
Raymond was the first IT trainee to be taken on by the PCA and it was also Raymond's first experience in the workplace.
His supervisor, IT Manager
John Miller, admitted it was a learning curve for everyone involved but congratulated Raymond for "sticking with it" and successfully completing his Certificate III in Information Technology.
Michelle Waters, from Wide Bay Group Training, presented Raymond with his completion certificate at a morning tea held at PCA last week.
Michelle said Raymond now intended to continue with his IT training at TAFE and planned to complete a Certificate IV and then a Diploma.
She said the experience he had received at PCA would be invaluable for his future career.
Raymond thanked John Miller and Steven Hibbs for their assistance as well as PCA and Wide Bay Group Training for the opportunities they had provided.
