The Peanut Company of Australia was proud to win the
Host Employer of the Year award at the 2008 Wide Bay Group Training Awards held in Maryborough on November 1.
PCA won the award in the medium category (three to five trainees). Downer EDI Rail (Maryborough) took out the large category while Bill Giles Plumbing from Goomeri won the small category.

As well, former PCA administration trainee
Kimberley Reynolds,
(at right of picture, left), tied with Rebekah Dukes from Tarong Energy to win the Administration Trainee award.
Kimberley began a 12-month traineeship at PCA on July 7, 2007. During this time she successfully completed a Certificate III in Business Administration at the Kingaroy TAFE College.
Also nominated for awards were PCA warehouse trainee
Nicholas Barclay and apprentice electrician
David Torry.
PCA has hosted trainees and apprentices from Wide Bay Group Training for several years.
They are placed in a number of positions including electrical, fitting, warehouse and office administration.
Many have gone on to win awards in both the Wide Bay Group Training competition and the Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry awards.
