The
2005 PCA Peanut Festival was the best ever ... with more entertainment, more rides, more street stalls, a bigger street parade ... and a bigger crowd!
Estimates of crowd attendance ranged between 8000-10,000.
The festival was organised by the Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry with assistance from many other community groups.
Major sponsors were PCA, the Queensland Events Regional Development Program, Telstra Countrywide and Kingaroy Shire Council.
A major highlight of the Festival was the Street Parade which attracted community groups, car clubs and local businesses. There was also an exciting aerobatics display by an RAAF Roulette aircraft as well as some "nutty" sporting competitions including the traditional "nummy" (nut + dummy) spit.
