A hot afternoon hauling a 20 tonne peanut thresher did not faze the defending champions of the Australian Peanut Thresher Pull.
Kingaroy South again won the Farmer's Trophy and the
PCA Social Club successfully defended the All-Comers Cup.
Seven teams competing in two categories took part in this year's Thresher Pull, part of the
2003 Peanut Festival held in Kingaroy.

A special attraction at this year's titles was the entry of the
Tenterfield Gladiators, the past Australian Tug-of-War champions. Unfortunately, the champs soon learned that hauling a thresher required a different technique to hauling against a fellow tug-of-war team. They've vowed to be back next year!
Also this year for the first time a growers' team was entered from
Tolga on the Atherton Tableland. The team enjoyed their trip to Kingaroy and have also promised to return next year.
