PCA is again proud to be a major sponsor of the annual
Wine and Food in the Park Festival which will be held at Kingaroy's Memorial Park on March 14.
There'll be cooking displays and food discussions in the PCA marquee featuring some of Queensland's leading food identities.
Celebrity chef
David Pugh, from
Restaurant Two in Brisbane, well-known local chef
Jason Ford, and Kingaroy Hotel Motel chef
Brent Shorter (who won the Most Innovative Use of Peanuts award at the 2008 South Burnett Culinary Competition for his Paupiette of Peanut Dukkah Crusted Pork Fillet) will be preparing dishes on stage alongside one of Australia's top foodies,
Peter Howard.
Courier-Mail writer
David Costello, well-known for his Fossicking column about unique foodstuffs, will also be on hand to provide interesting snippets of information.
Also to be unveiled on the day will be PCA's new corporate mascot, a fully-restored 1934 KC30 Dodge truck, similar to the many farm trucks that hauled peanuts to the Kingaroy silos for so many years.
