Talented Kingaroy TAFE trainee
Aimee Stoddart - who took out an encouragement award at the
2006 PCA South Burnett Regional Culinary Competition - has been making her mark in Brisbane.
Aimee
(pictured at right with PCA Marketing Manager Juli Robertson, celebrity chef Alastair McLeod and TAFE teacher Jason Ford) completed her work experience prize recently at Brett's Wharf Restaurant.
Brett's Wharf Executive Chef
Alastair McLeod - well-known from the TV program "Ready, Steady Cook" - said Aimee was an extremely worthy winner at the PCA South Burnett Regional Culinary Competition.
He has offered her help with finding future employment in Brisbane and securing an apprenticeship.

"Aimee (
pictured at left with the Brett's Wharf kitchen crew) was a breath of fresh air in the kitchen, she's an individual you look forward to working with each day," Alastair said.
"She has a very mature attitude and is exactly the kind of worker we would employ at Brett's Wharf."
It's not surprising given Aimee's background in the area of hospitality.
Her father
Paul Stoddart owns Kingaroy café Burning Beats where Aimee is employed as a trainee. Coincidentally, Paul took out the major award at this year's PCA South Burnett Regional Culinary Competition.
Paul says it's been clear for years that cooking is Aimee's passion.
"She's been in the kitchen since she was knee high to a grasshopper," he said.
