Nine leading South Burnett chefs will be competing in the third annual
PCA South Burnett Regional Culinary Competition on this weekend in Kingaroy.
The competition is an integral part of the
2005 Wine and Food in the Park Festival which will be held on Saturday in Memorial Park.
Each chef has 20 minutes to prepare an innovative dish using South Burnett produce (including peanuts) matched with a local wine. Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE Kingaroy Hospitality Teacher and competition co-organiser
Jason Ford will also give a cooking demonstration using peanuts to create a delectable dessert of
Peanut and Buttermilk Panna Cotta with Soft Fruit Salsa.
